The Prora complex was an intended vacation resort for the masses built on an island off the coast of northern Germany.  Although it received the Grand Prix at the 1937 World Exhibition in Paris, the complex was never completed as construction was interrupted and the building was adopted for military use during World War II.  In issue no. 14, uncube editor Jessica Bridger delves into the “uneasy history of Prora" and the status of the complex in its contemporary context.
