Some home news for a change: uncube magazine is barely a year old, but already causing a bit of a stir in media circles it seems. Last week we picked up gold for “Web Magazine of the Year” at the Lead Awards in Hamburg. The Lead Awards are pretty much the top media accolade for magazines in Germany and there was stiff competition from some very worthy – and weighty – nominees including Spiegel Online and Zeit Online. Silver in the web magazine category went to Brut Magazin and bronze to the satirical publication Der Postillon. But we are not planning to rest on our laurels, spending afternoons polishing our trophies, just yet, as at uncube we're now hard at work putting together the next issue, due out later this month. So, after this touch of trumpet-blowing, we’ll just get back and get on with it.
